How do you get away from the edge in a wing foil?
Moving away from the shore in a wing foil is a bit more technical than in other water sports. Indeed, you have to manage your wing, your board and your foil.
First of all, when you enter the water, you will keep your board upside down, that is to say the foil up. In the other hand, you hold your wing firmly by the handle.
Then, you have to walk a little in the water while pushing your board which is always upside down.
When the water reaches between the waist and the chest, you can turn the board over and plunge the foil into the water without risking to make it touch the bottom.
Finally, you can get on your board and catch the wind with your wing to get further away from the shore and enjoy your sailing!
