We’re here to provide you with comprehensive answers and advice to help you make the right choice.

How to use the product

You can leave your foil fully assembled. The only thing you’ll need to check, especially when the foil is new, is the tightness of the wings, and especially the Tbar on removable foils. When a foil is new, it fits together very tightly, so after 2-3 hours of sailing, it’s possible that it’ll become a little loose, so don’t hesitate to retighten the screws. Always check this point.
At AFS, we’ve always used full carbon. Full carbon means total absence of corrosion or oxidation, so there’s really no need to rinse your foil. All you need to do is rinse with clear water to remove any impurities created by hydrocarbons or algae, depending on your spot.
It is not recommended to store the foil wet in its covers. It is best to rinse the foil in fresh water after each use and allow it to dry before storing it in its cover. Storing a wet foil in a closed, unventilated cover can lead to discoloration or color transfer, even if there is no mechanical risk of oxidation.
When mounting your foil for the first time, it may be useful to apply Tef Gel to the screws. This increases tightening efficiency and prevents sand grains from damaging the threads. However, the use of Tef Gel is not at all compulsory, and there is no risk of oxidation on your foil.

Q&A

Not necessarily. A stabilizer shim will simply allow you to steer (in high range) or unsteer (in low range) your stabilizer, thus increasing its range of use.

Depending on your size/practice, you’ll find different information on the pages presenting our ranges directly. If you have the slightest doubt, our team of enthusiasts is at your disposal via the website chat (blue logo) at the bottom of your screen.

Our offices and warehouses are in the USA, at this address: MM Sailing
Naples, FL 34120. The head office is located in Brittany, more precisely in Pencran, Finistère. We are located Espace Joseph Rolland – 29800 PENCRAN.

All AFS foils are manufactured at our company in Pencran, France. All AFS Advanced boards are also made here. Some of our boards are made in Tunisia at Terminatech, as are our covers. Finally, although we haven’t yet managed to make the leap, our wings are now made in China, although all R&D is carried out in-house.

All our products are packed in reinforced cardboard boxes. We ship all over the world, sometimes between private distribution, boat and plane… All our products are protected with various types of foam.

If the delivery has been accepted, simply use our contact page If you have not yet received the order, feel free to unpack the parcel in front of the carrier.
